The Last Signal
A downloadable game for Windows
The signal you once sent may have already been answered.
In the vastness of space, an indecipherable signal was received—a mysterious message from the depths of the cosmos. Scientists calculated 9 billion possible responses. To solve the enigma, the institute began transmitting each one back into the universe.
As time passed, you awoke in the research facility, only to find that everything had already changed.
Collect clues across diverse environments in first-person view and escape the horrors that pursue you.
Explore the research facility from a third-person perspective, collect items, and face off against monsters.

Not really about the game:
Here's the situation: About a month ago, I finished playing SIGNALIS (if you haven't played it, I highly recommend it). I absolutely loved that game. *a cockroach in my brain bit through a blood vessel, causing me sudden cognitive impairment* "Hey! I should make a horror game." But I've never made a horror game before, and I haven't even played that many. Plus, I have no 3D modeling skills. The result? This game.If you're willing to play this game, please leave a comment.
oh,there's bugs

beautifully done game. the aesthetic and monster designs are top notch, and i love how you simulated tank controls with the mouse. really neat concept and storytelling. the inspiration from signalis is really well done. kudos!
Awesome game! Here's my playthrough:
Can't find the code to the door. Any hints?
Did you find the floppy disk in the library? Just insert it into the terminal in the security room :D
The spooky eyeball-desktop-event happens and I get a message saying "I've changed the log file location to [This PC/Documents/Logs]." Am I now supposed to track down the code in my computer's files? I half-heartedly tried that but couldn't get anywhere and I'm still clueless.
Normally, a folder named "Logs" should be created in the Documents directory on your Windows system, with a .txt file inside. If it's not there, the program might have encountered some bugs, and I apologize for that. ;(
Yeah it's not there. This is a really cool game btw, I love that you combined first-person and third-person perspectives as well as having a cool inventory and different enemies to take down or avoid.
The slow walking speed can get pretty annoying after a while so I just ended up holding down shift to run all the time. Another bug I occasionally encountered was my character would get stuck on geometry or clip out of the screen and I'd have to restart. Also, after loading a saved game inventory items would oddly disappear-- like the battery or the floppy disk, and they couldn't be recovered or found again.
But despite these issues I found myself wanting to play the game again and again because, as I mentioned above, I'm intrigued by the gameplay and the world you've created.
Thank you so, so much for your kind words! As someone making a horror game for the first time (and with more bugs than I'd like to admit), your feedback truly made my day. The issue you're encountering might be due to the game not having write permissions for the Documents folder. I'm working on a fix and exploring alternatives. In the meantime, you could try adjusting the permissions for your Documents folder or running the game as an administrator (though that might not work). I'm really sorry for the trouble, and I appreciate your patience.
Hi. We are a small team of translators. We liked your game, its story and we would like to translate it into Russian for players from the CIS. If you would be interested in this, please write how to contact with you.
Nice this was very very good game I like it well done keep it up!
thank you!
Thank you so much for playing! I watched the video, and it seemed to be very laggy. I'm not sure if it was caused by the recording software, but if it wasn't, I apologize for the poor frame rate experience :(
Hey interesting concept switching from third person to first person and having a inventory inspired by signalis i always love a horror game with combat and you sir or madam did what you could to bring your vision to life.
thank you!
Yeah for the next project you should try and make a silent hill inspired game i mean you did well with this one why not go all the way?
